Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a fantasy tabletop-inspired borderlands spin-off developed by Gearbox Software a game full of whimsy, wonder, magic, and high caliber weaponry brought to life by your dungeon master the unpredictable Tiny Tina. Your quest is to stop the reign of the tyrannical dragon lord, make your own character and choose what multiclass combination you want to use with respec available down the line to encourage experimentation.

  • While there are a set of rules for the Gameworld Tiny Tina has created, she will be sure to break them every once in a while but don’t let that detract you from exploring the vast overworld spanning majestic cities, dank mushroom forests, a menacing fortress.
  • Combine powerful spells with varying effects with the gunplay and weapon variety of a Looter Shooter. Mow down legions of enemies including talking skeletons, land sharks, giant bosses, and other fantasy-inspired monsters with the Borderlands twists.
  • Create your own party with your friends in the game seamless multiplayer mode or play alone with your AI companions the headstrong captain valentine and the robot Frette. Meet other whacky characters on your way to slaying the dragon lord like a lute-playing barbarian and a Fairy Punchfather.
  • As mentioned, before you will be able to create your own character from his looks to his set of skills at first you will be able to choose one primary class to use but afterward, you can choose a secondary class to combine it with which can be swapped out with other classes, to encourage refinement of your build.

Reviews

As someone who has played plenty of Dungeons & Dragons, I adored how often Wonderlands reminded me of rolling a 20-sided die with friends. It’s a love letter to on-the-spot creativity and friends enjoying each other’s company in a make-believe world.

Cascading loot and relentless humor check the Borderlands boxes, but instead of coming up with totally new elements, all it had to do was shift things around and finally let us create a character. Future Borderlands experiences may not be set in fantasy settings of this kind, but they should at least look to adopt in some ways the fanciful and varied nature of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
